London maps

LondonTown.com have added a nice map to their website.

It has the tube stops and lines marked on, as well as some landmarks. You can also pan it around in the google maps style. Nice. It only covers central London, and is really geared towards hotels, but I think it's worth using to plan a trip!

I've always loved to look at maps, though many times I haven't benefited from them! I used to depend on them when in London, however. This one looks especially nice.

I like the tube-line overlay, but I can't see me using it over google maps. Be cool if you could access it from those free intermenet points they have around the place though, that already have free access to some bits of LondonTown.com (there's one inside Angel tube which I've used before now).

Being the programmer who made the map I would say that this isn't meant to compete with Google maps rather focus on London and specifically hotels within central London. We'll be expanding the map in due course with more features.

Nice idea about the BT Kiosks too, I'll pass this on :)
